Pepper slices fried eggs – The unusual recipe
Fried eggs in peppers slices: need I say more?
If you are looking for creative ways of frying your eggs for breakfast or brunch then this is the right one for you.
If you have already tried the perfectly round food rings or you don’t trust those hello kitty silicon egg shaper to go into your frying pan, here is the eco friendly alternative that will give your fried eggs a cute flowery shape.
It’s not made of steel, it’s not silicone nor even teflon, though it’s non stick and 100% edible.
This pseudo recipe is so random I wasn’t even cosidering posting it. Honestly didn’t thought that people would need a blog post or even a video recipe to come up with something like that but.. it turns out that half of the adult-able-to-cook population had never thought about this new way of combining eggs and veg together.
At least the ones in my family didn’t (lol)
I made this to go with my pineapple chicken skewers, check it out here. I’ ll tell you it was the best accompaniment ever for my skewers. The juicy pineapple bits agrees very well with the fried eggs flavour.
You can make the same or just cook these eggs on it’s own.
Find the skewers recipe here.
I don’t even think it’s necessary to spend more words about this, so I will leave you with the ingredients for this “unusual recipe”.
Ingredients for sweet pepper slices fried eggs
1 sweet pepper (whatever color you prefer)
Start with cutting the top bit of the pepper to remove the green stem.
Cut it orizontally.
Cut as many slices of pepper for as much eggs you need to fry.
Of course the slices have to be cut orizontally.
Take the white bits of the pepper out with a pairing knife.
I suggest you to cut the pepper slices quite thin, as it will take less time cooking it.
Put 1 tea spoon of good butter in a non stick frying pan and let it melt.
Lay the pepper slices in the pan and let it toast on each side a bit.
Open the eggs and place them inside the pepper slices.
Wait till it’s cooked to your tastes.
Season it with salt & pepper and a sprinkle of dried parsley if you like it.
Here it is fried eggs ready to go.
